Shimadzu SCSI & RAID Devices Driver Download

 



We have several older Shimadzu HPLC systems with UV detectors connected to Chromperfect software..We are looking to get a DAD to connect to the LC for among others glycosides analysis from onions. We found a few used Shimadzu DAD for $2-5k but so far not any software or boards. The version of Chromperfect we have doesn't have any spectra analysis features so we would need new software. Any suggestions on hos to do this for not too much $ ??
Our other option is to buy an older complete system including DAD, software etc. We have come across some Agilent 1050 and 1090s with DAD for ~$5-8 k used though I know those can be costly to maintain...I'd rather adapt the Shimadzu DAD if it can be done...

I don't think that you can 'adapt' your software to the DAD. The UV detector signal comes in over a serial communications connection, the DAD uses SCSI communications, so that is probably a huge hurdle. The new Shimadzu software supports most of the older 10 series components, if you have the 10VP series all should be well. Shimadzu EDX series are ready to respond to versatile demands of yours.
